The story behind the image
My wife once told me about a time when life felt like too much. She was worn down by all she had to carry, so she closed her eyes and pictured the Savior.
She saw Him come near, place an arm around her, and let her cry on His shoulder. They did not speak, but His message was clear. Even with all her faults and fears, His arms of mercy were open to her.
As He held her, she felt His strength and kindness. She knew she could forgive herself and find the courage to keep going. His mercy had met her in her pain, and she did not have to face it alone.
Her story brought this image to my mind. I created Arms of Mercy to show the love and peace she felt in that moment. I hope it helps others remember that the Savior's arms are open to us all. We only need to step into them.
